Welcome to my blog

Howdy. My name is George Palmer Macias and I am an alcoholic, I mean, songwriter. Today, I have a leak in my water line, so I'm unclean. I somehow twisted a vertebrae in my lower back yesterday, so I can't walk. Well I can't walk painlessly. Tonight I have to get on stage with the band, The Regulars, and I'm going to be very entertaining. I'm going to be very entertaining. I'm going to be very entertaining.
So far today, I've read the Austin American-Statesman, ate breakfast, and spent about an hour on Facebook explaining how to save the health care system. I also received an e-mail from www.countrycalifornia.com asking for volunteers to contribute to their music blog and I volunteered to contribute -- because I am a shameless self promoter.
Then I went to http://www.reverbnation.com/georgepalmermacias to discover that I had slipped from the 17th most popular folk artist in Austin to the 18th, so I decided I had to do something to get me back to 17th -- ergo this blog.
I should also tell you about the jukebox I built with my retirement money: www.texisscafe.com. Once I had ideas about making money off of it, but now I'm wondering why my 16-year-old Rottweiller didn't tell me she needed to poop. Be back in a minute.
I'm glad I bought that half-gallon of water yesterday, so I could clean my hands.
